At 5:00 AM We loaded up in the Jeep and headed out to Farmington. Chris and Mom came for support and to ensure media coverage 🙂
Thank you to Both of you , as well as Matt I for the support!

Unloaded the car and took stock of the event to come and ensured I had everything I needed.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Starting to feel the nerves as I wait on the beach for the start. Getting Ready to Swim (55 outside, 68 in the water)
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Finally its time for my wave to line up. My wave is first timers and the Athena Division (over 150 lbs)
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Off I go to a nice quick start…..all those arms and legs flailing is hazardous.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
I was so happy to be done with the swim, but now I was cold and wet….something that would last till the end.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Transition One : From Swim to Bike. Pulled on bike shorts, socks , shoes , and helmet
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
The bike ride was by far the easiest leg of the Tri, I felt like it was over before it started.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Transition Two : Bike to Run
Swapped shoes and pulled off the helmet, and into the woods I went!
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
I really made it!
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Mom was right there waiting for me and Chris was in capturing it all for posterity.
